What really motivates me is to take away the burden of compliance and governance from fellow engineers to enable them to focus on what makes their heart beat faster. Need to report something twice? Replace it with automation. The world is becoming increasingly dependent on complex IT infrastructure and it needs to be secure and reliable. Engineers are at their best when they can be creative and innovative, they needs to be mindful of risk and compliancy and act in it’s best interest without the associated paperwork. I love creating hands-off production environments where deployments are just a click of a button and everything is predictable. No runbooks, no workinstructions, no downtime and no surprises.
